Mobile networks’ online shops:

  • Tesco Mobile - Tesco takes on the big boys with its own virtual mobile network, complete with its own price plans for pay monthly and pay as you go mobile phones and SIM only deals. Whilst operating as a separate network, Tesco Mobile is powered by O2, so offers the same comprehensive UK coverage.
  • Virgin Mobile - offers pay monthly and pay as you go mobile phones plus SIM only price plans with discounts on selected products for Virgin Media (cable TV) customers. Virgin Mobile runs via Everything Everywhere’s UK network coverage.
  • Vodafone – includes pay monthly and pay as you go mobile phone deals and special offers, direct from one of the UK’s biggest networks.
  • Vodafone Small Business – a dedicated online shop from Vodafone featuring mobile phones for business customers from individuals to small firms.
  • TalkMobile – a mobile virtual network operator (powered by Vodafone for Carphone Warehouse, running as a separate network), TalkMobile offers mobiles on competitive price plans, including cheap SIM only deals.

When you buy a mobile phone online, you benefit from 7 days during which you’re entitled to change your mind and return the item – a legal right that doesn’t apply if you buy instead from a high street mobile phone shop. Some retailers’ return policies even extend this period to 14 days.
