T-Mobile has today launched a Time Limited Offer featuring FREE Android mobile phones on pay monthly contracts priced at just £6.50 per month (shown as £10.50pm in your basket, with a discount applied automatically).

T-Mobile Business has launched two new discount promotions for UK customers who buy direct from T-Mobile’s own online shop.

3 Months Free on Business Mobile Broadband

The first deal offers 3 months free on business mobile broadband with 1GB or 3GB monthly data allowances on 18 or 24 month contracts. In percentage terms, this equates to a discount of 16.7% and 12.5% respectively, assuming that you either cancel or negotiate a fresh deal at the end of the contract term.

25% off T-Mobile Business SIM-only

The second deal offers a 25% discount off all 30 day and 12 month SIM-only business price plans. If you’re happy to keep your existing handset (and assuming it’s either already locked to T-Mobile or is / can be unlocked to all networks), this can make for great savings on your ongoing mobile phone bills.

Having had its wrist slapped last year for promoting a price plan that didn’t live up to its promise of being “truly” unlimited, T-Mobile has bounced back to launch two brand new unlimited price plans. And this time, it seems to have done the job properly.

The cheapest of T-Mobile’s The Full Monty price plans features unlimited inclusive allowances for text messages and calls to other T-Mobile numbers. All versions of the plan also offer unlimited web browsing and email – this includes tethering* and VOIP calls, which are often excluded from mobile phone tariffs.

Other monthly allowances are similarly generous and vary according to the price plan version (which have varying associated monthly costs):

No fair use policy

When you view the new price plans on T-Mobile’s website, you’ll still see a “data fair use policy” link at the bottom of the page. However, we’ve checked and this does not apply to The Full Monty price plans. The link remains there to cover other price plans, for which the data policy does cap usage for video streaming and file uploads and downloads.

Other inclusive price plans

T-Mobile’s The Full Monty price plans are pitched against competitors’ offerings including – perhaps most notably – The One Plan from 3, the rival mobile network. Given the great success of The One Plan with its “all-you-can-eat data”, we expect T-Mobile’s new additions to do similarly well.

A final point of note is that T-Mobile’s UK customers also benefit from automatic roaming – if needed – onto Orange’s UK network, thanks to both brands belonging to the same owner, Everything Everywhere^.

* Tethering is where a mobile phone is used as a modem to provide an internet connection for another device, usually a laptop PC.

- a 12 month contract period
- a new mobile phone handset (some of which are free)
- inclusive allowances for calls and texts
- a choice of Flexible Boosters (eg unlimited texts, unlimited landline or T-Mobile calls, mobile internet, etc)
- a capped cost per month: to use more than your inclusive allowances, you’ll need to top-up your account manually.

The tariff offers greater control for mobile phone users by requiring manual top ups in advance to cover the cost of anything that’s not already covered within the inclusive allowances. This way, customers can avoid receiving unexpectedly large bills after the fact for “out of plan” usage (ie usage outside of their inclusive allowances), which can soon mount up with traditional pay monthly price plans.
